I need advice on what to do about a situation with my wisdom teeth and periodonal disease?

I am scheduled to have one of my bottom wisdom teeth out on the 16th. Only one because my insurance will not pay ANYTHING until July. I was also diagnosed with periodontal disease and scheduled for root scaling and planing.

Overnight the other bottom wisdom tooth has decided to erupt and I am in some serious pain (again).

My question is this-

since this is a financial issue for me and I am unable to have everything done at once- should I go ahead on the 16th and have the other wisdom tooth out and then delay the periodontal therapy until February when we get our tax return?

I realize the importance of having it done but money is a real issue here.

Also I would like to add that I do have a Care Credit card but I will be maxing it out either way this goes.

Thanks for your advice.I need advice on what to do about a situation with my wisdom teeth and periodonal disease?
I am in much the same way as you. I had my wisdom tooth extracted last week because the root was exposed and it was also abcessed (infected). I was in tremendous pain. I also have bone loss from periodontal disease and am losing teeth (three so far). I did not have dental insurance until this year, so I put off getting my teeth taken care of. Bad mistake! Yes, have the wisdom tooth removed, before it becomes infected or root exposure! Talk with your dentist and tell him what your circumstances are. Perhaps, he will work out a plan with you. Or see if he will take reasonable payments ($50 or so). Also, if you live in a large city, look into the local university's student dentist programme. Sometimes they will do the work for way less money so they can show students how to do the procedures. I got an excellent teeth cleaning that way once, for almost nothing...$10!! But all in all, discuss it with your dentist and see if you can work out something! If your dentist thinks your case is severe enough, perhaps he will refer you to someone that can help out you. Perhaps your church? If it were me, I'd max out the card and get the peri work done. Then make solid, timely, large payments to the card. I will NEVER ignore my dental health again because I'm still young and am facing the possibility of dentures. Don't go down that road. SOOO not worth it!

I hope you feel better soon. Good luck!I need advice on what to do about a situation with my wisdom teeth and periodonal disease?
I had the scaling done at 400.00 a side.

If you can afford it one side at a time, I highly reccommend it because it truly does make a world of difference. Within a week my gums no longer bleed, and my teeth look way better.

As for the wisdom teeth, I can't afford to have mine out either. That's why I'm procrastinating.
I would get the wisdom tooth pulled. I put off getting mine done and they ended making all my bottom teeth crooked. This pretty much ruined all the pain etc. I endured as a teen wearing braces.

Need advice about having another baby?

My husband and I are contemplating having another child. We currently have a 14 month old little girl. We are considering trying to get pregnant. My husband and I both work, and I am a little concerned with having 2 children so close in age. The age difference would be right around 2 years. What do you think? Anyone have kids 2 years apart?Need advice about having another baby?
when i give birth to my 2nd, my son will be 4 1/2...i think the age is perfect for me. my son is out of pampers, is able to help me when i need help with the baby, like getting a pamper,or wipes, u know? and hes understanding that mommy has a baby in her tummy,lol...also i enjoyed my son to the fullest!!! it was me and him all the time!! its up to u though..good luckNeed advice about having another baby?
that is how i wanted my children also. My son will be 3 in january and my husband and i have been trying for 7mnths now and sadly nothing.

I wanted my children about 2yrs apart #1) have similar interests #2)share the same schools #3) i dont have any close aged siblings

We are trying but Good luck!!
My grandparents had my dad and his 2 brothers in exactly 2-year intervals, and I know they were always really close growing up. I always thought the closer, the better, just because they are more likely to be playmates and you can reuse all your baby things.

I would definitely say go for it, as long as you can afford another baby! Two years seems like a great age.

Also, my little sisters are 4 and 6, and they are the best of friends. They fight sometimes, and I know it was hard for my mom at first with a newborn and a 2-year-old, but they share everything and really keep each other entertained.
If you can afford it, go get naked!

What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?

Just curious. I know people have different view points on what you should or shouldn't do while being pregnant. What do you think is the stupidest think people say you should or shouldn't do while pregnant? What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?
I can't stand when people chastise a pregnant women for drinking a pop or eating a cheeseburger. I mean jeeze, my feet hurt, my back aches, I have to pee every 3 minutes, I can't brush my teeth without vomiting from morning sickness, and I'm about to squeeze 8 pounds out of my vagina, and you're trying to tell me I can't even eat a darn cheeseburger!?!What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?
well dont pick up heavy things i know a girl who did that and she went into labor almost 2 months eirly and lost her baby so be careful

But another thing I heard was to not bottle feed a baby because of ';nipple confusion'; Someone I knew left her doctor because she tried to persure her into not bottle feeding her son. She bottle fed him anyway.
don't eat raw green beans.. only eat organic food... no caffeine at all... make sure to have a pillow between your legs when you sleep or you'll squash the baby... etc etc.. a bunch of pregnancy myths... some may be a good idea to do ya.. but your baby isn't going to die...
Someone told me not to reach above my head at all during pregnancy, because the umbilical cord could get wrapped around the baby's neck that way. Sounds dumb to me because the baby backflips and somersaults a lot in there.
To eat lot's of big meals through out the day, even if your not hungry because your ';feeding for 2';

My BF's mom is ALWAYS on me to eat, however I've never been a big eater. My doctor wasn't concerned so why would I be?
Don't lie on your stomach, you';ll squish the baby. My doctor told me i can lie on my stomach as long as it is comfortable, the baby is well protected.
Someone told me that I should drink alcohol and start smoking pot while pregnant because they did with their last pregnancy and that's the only one of there kids that used his brains and graduated highschool. Very stupid!
my friend was dead honest about this.

Dont go golfing with my husband because when you swing your arms go above your head and the cord could get wrapped around your babies neck.

ohhh the good advice you always get.
not to dye my hair, to put a cover in my tummy because the baby can smell everything!! yeahhhhh that麓s stupid!! to stay away from dyes, etc.....

I don't think its a good idea at all. Am I missing some sort of beneficial aspect? Why is it dangerous to take advice from unknown strangers about matters of health, life and death on the Web?
You have the right view. You will always get mixed answers. Good, bad, kind and malevolent answers are par for the course. Deciding what to believe can be a challenge. If you like an answer, research it a bit more. I never take legal or serious medical condition advice out of a forum. I do get some good recipes though! I have a blog where I keep herbal remedies posted, some people love them otheres, well... you can guess. I never print them in a forum, I just give a link via email to interestd people. Maybe a bit more contact with your answerers will help you decide what's legit and what's just s***Why is it dangerous to take advice from unknown strangers about matters of health, life and death on the Web?
I don't see any beneficial aspect either.

Even a response from someone who says they are a Dr. has no real value in most cases.

You don't have to provide proof of who you are on the internet.

But it is good sometimes for a laugh.

I hope no one ever takes medical advice in here as a solution for their problem.

Real Dr's who can actually see you are the only ones I would trust...and even then...lol

Hi all, Anyone have advice about pain during burn recovery?

I have a 10 day old 2nd degree burn across the topside of my right thumb. While this is healing as expected, I have acute pain deep in the joint itself since the burn happened. Is this usual?

    Thanks in anticipation,

WoodpunkHi all, Anyone have advice about pain during burn recovery?
I'm not a doc but I've had lots of experience with severe burns. I imagine the burn may have gone deep enough to damage the joint itself. There isn't alot of tissue on the top of the thumb so it may be possible that the cartlidge has been damaged. I hope you've sought medical attention, burns can become infected very very easily and as you can imagine that would cause serious problems for you. You should run it by your doc and see what he or she thinks.Hi all, Anyone have advice about pain during burn recovery?
    Hey kamrbone,

Thanks for the advice. I didn't see a doctor at the time of the injury as I was not in a situation where this would have been possible. However I shall do so- better late than never I hope!

Does anyone have any advice about the easiest way to breakup with a boyfriend?

This boy is driving me absolutely crazy!Does anyone have any advice about the easiest way to breakup with a boyfriend?
Short %26amp; to the point. If he wants a reason tell him, but don't drag it out, %26amp; don't say you want to be friends unless you really do...but if he is driving you crazy you probably don't want that.Does anyone have any advice about the easiest way to breakup with a boyfriend?
Talk about marriage... a lot! Freak his **** out! He'll run
    just stop answering the phone.
tell him you have found sombody and things between you two ant good eneymore so you need some time to figer stuff out whatever you do do not brake up with him through a text or on a voice mail or have sombody do it fore you if you dont want to be with him tell him your self less drama that way
    ';its not you... its me. i'm sorry. but, its over';

send him that on text message
Send him a text message and do not answer the phone if he calls. It can be hurtful and immature, but it accomplishes the goal with minimal effort from you.
do it in person...any other way could make you look coward..and lead to him saying how you weren't even brave enough to do it in person
    Haha, text message
say-you are nice guy but it is not going to work out.i'm sorry,it's over.
Honestly. Tell him you are not interested in him anymore and you are going to start dating others. Don't answer your phone when he calls and don't let him in when he comes over.Be very firm and consistent. He'll get the hint.
i`m sorry it not workin out for us we can be friends and say hi to each other
Text him, it worked for Brittney......
I agree, be firm. There is no easy way, when there was a point when you both felt the same way about each other. Some people dont get the hint its not working so just stop spending time together, get your self together and eventually he'll start looking for someone else to be with. Find someone who makes you feel good, and everything else will fall into play.
    Email him....LOL that's so evil.
Considerately. Gently. Thoughtfully....the way you would appreciate it if you were on the receiving end.

Just consider his feelings if the break up is for something rather small in nature. There is no easy way to do it. Breaking someone's heart is the most difficult task ever.
Since he cant clue in that you dont love him anymore or that you ever did, try txt message, phone call or better yet: email.

Sounds cruel but some people just cant get it when its time to move on.

    Move on
say Im sorry this isnt working....lets just say hello when we pass in halllway
    Tell him in a song...

    http://www.garageband.com/song?|pe1|S8LT鈥?/a>
    just come out with it

    you will feel good
personally i think that u should always be straight up with ur bf and jus be honest. ya digg??
do it through email. it might be totally cruel, but its easier on your part...plus...who said it was sapposed to be nice.
Take full responsibility for the breakup. No matter how you feel, tell him he's a great guy, he's just not the guy for you. He's going to be hurt no matter what, but there is no reason to kick a guy while he's down. Be honest (just not brutally honest): let him know that you feel like your personalities just don't fit together and it isn't working anymore. You could even throw in that you're sure he'll find a great girl that can appreciate him more than you did just to boost his self-esteem a bit. Most importantly, do it in person. I know it's awkward and uncomfortable but it's just common courtesy. He'll probably be crushed when you do it, but you should at least have the courage to tell him to his face. Somewhere like a coffee-shop always works well (that's my personal favorite) because you're not stuck there too long (no food) and it's not uncomfortable to just leave when you're done. Plus it's a public place so it's unlikely that he'll overreact and start yelling. Good luck! Just be gentile and be honest-- everyone deserves that.
just tell him that its not working out, that is the easiest way. if he cares he'll be hurt, but what can you do when your not liking the situation that your in. just tell him, its hard, but thats the easiest way out.
I prefer a good old break up phone call. Put simply...Things just aren't working out and I am moving on with my life. Nice to know you, have a great life. Goodbye.
...After this, could you give me a chance ?

What is the best advice you can give to me about catching mice with old 'snap-shut', tension loaded traps?

I have mice in my loft-space,. how should I place the traps, WHERE should I place them, and lastly, I am unable to afford getting any pest control people to sort it. Plus there doesn't YET appear to be any major problem with the numbers of mice as there's only the rare noise coming from the loft. What is the best advice you can give to me about catching mice with old 'snap-shut', tension loaded traps?
Choclate never fales good luckWhat is the best advice you can give to me about catching mice with old 'snap-shut', tension loaded traps?
Put poison down thats the quickest way .
place peanuts in the trap they simply adore them ( for an instant )
best advice, keep your fingers clear of the snapper
Place them around the perimeter walls with the tripper next to the wall. No need for bait. They'll run into them every time.
    The best thing is the ';candybar';. Get it at the hardware store. Get the yellow one. Mice can't resist it. It will make them go away. It IS the ';better mousetrap';
mice always run against the wall so I would put the trap along the wall or joist, with the back of the trap against the wall, so that when the mouse is running along the wall, the trap is in his way.

    Mars bar works a treat.
i agree chocolate is best to set traps, close to walls, don't poison they will go to an inaccessible place to die and the last thing you need is decomposing mice where you can't find them.
Get yourself a Tom Cat; buy the large bags of dry cat food at walmart; then, let the cat furnish his own meat......the mice.
Load them with peanut butter. Don't set them all at once, that way you'll catch them off guard! You might want to find the nest that way you won't have another crop in the summer.
Use peanut putter as bait . place alongside walls near corners

If you have pets or kids make some peanut butter cookies and use a lot of baking powder in them as a dog or cat can pass gas but the rodents cannot . this will give them a bad stomache ach and will go

This is non toxic to kids and pets except hamsters and gerbils and rabbits
The local council will come out and place poison in the roof the poison they use makes the mice thirsty and go looking for water so they go out and die outside. So no decomposing bodies
set the traps with cheese use at least 6 ....set them anywhere ..the mice will find them ..get the traps where a section of the trap floor lifts up to set trap ..your problem will soon be gone
A small bit of chocolate on the trap spike is a good treat for them! Put your traps around the edges of your loft as mice like to keep close to things like walls and roof trusses so they can hide quickly. Other than that you can get mouse poison in little trays from your local hardware store.
I use peanut butter mushed up in white bread so it holds on trap. place the trap so bait is toward a wall where they frequently walk by. you can tell where they been by the droppings. object is to get there attention on the bait before they get anywhere else.
    mind your fingers!!
i baited it with a piece of cheese about the size of your finger nail or i sometimes used peanut butter--i think cheese is better. set the trap next to a base board--sometime i'd put it between the frig. and wall. they work good however you can buy some de-con [not expensive]--put out a couple of boxes--they eat it and then run off and die but leave no smell--you may only need one box.---dont put box where there might be children or pets.---the box is small

How can I start an advice column. For years people have been telling me I give excellent advice about life.?

I think you should stick to Yahoo Answers for now and see how you do by the ratings and then start your own web page. You could ask local business to put links to your website on theirs. You could also advertise in your local area. The best way is word of mouth so tell all your friends/family. Good Luck!

get a really strong air freshener coz the room where you're kkeping it will be really smelly.
give it its own room the little tykes get some speed up on their treadmills at 3.30 am
if you previously owned any other rodents, get rid of the old cage, water bottle, anything that the old one touched. If the new hamster smells any other hamster, it will simply stop eating.

  • Advice about what to eat at an indian restaurant?

hi, im going out for an indian tonight and was wondering what would be the lowest calorie/fat option to go for, i don't mind going for a veggy option :D

ThanksAdvice about what to eat at an indian restaurant?
    chicken tikka

    sag aloo

    vegetable bhirani

xAdvice about what to eat at an indian restaurant?
There are so many foods from India..

I m going to suggest this website below as a primer.

Then you can browse through and familiarize yourself with all the options, and then you will be ready when the menu comes.

I find the appetizers are enough for a meal,

and sometimes if we go out, we all get appetizers and share.

One of our favorite appetizers is Samosa.

It is a dumpling, usually they come 2 or 3 to the order.

It has potatoes and peas in it. Tender.

Naan is a bread, you can tear it off and dip it in stuff, or use it as a scoop for your rice, etc...

So that would be carbs if you are not wanting that...

Lassi is a yogurt drink, and it is really creamy, so stay away from that because it s not low calorie.

It s like a yummy dessert drink.

Chai tea is excellent, but it usually comes with cream in it, so you probably don t want that.

There are lots of meat options, I ndia is not just vegetarian, however, they do offer lots of vegetarian dishes.

Some of the dishes are verrry spicy... if you like that, do a

    biryani.

Most India restaurants I have been to have adescription of the dish and the sauce it s in, so you can peruse down the menu and notice what is a cream sauce( higher fat%26amp;calorie content)

it will say if it is fried

An appetizer is usually a smaller quantity of food, so even if it is fried or in some sauce, there is less of it, so maybe consider that.

I suggest this website below, it has pictures and everything, a quick primer for you.

    Good job trying new things!

It will probably smell good there, and have colorful wall hangings, lovely.. and it may have a coriander or caraway or anise seed bowl at the end of the meal..helps digestion, and freshens breath.

You thank for the nourishment and then take a few to crunch.

If it is anise seed, don t take too many.

Licorice is a natural vomiting agent.

That will be a bad ending to the night.

Be well! Have fun! Good memories!
    ha...good luck.

Like the other posters said tandoori chicken or maybe Dal soup(at least its nutritious).

Everything has butter or cream in it even the saag which is a spinach dish.

Not the best choice of cuisine when you're on a diet.
You want to go for a tandoori style food, something that is dry that comes with salad. Steer clear of the rice, nan breads and popadums. Tandoori style food is marinated meet cooked in a clay oven with no sauce.

Masala is one of the highest caloried foods you could go for.
    Maybe this will help

chicken tikka..not the curry..the one where chicken is baked in the oven have with a salad mint and yoghurt sauce ansd say one chappati

not chicken tikka masala very fattening just tandori chicken or chicken tikka ask in the restaurant
Dry tandoori chicken or a chicken with a less creamy sauce such as the tomato based rogan josh sauce.
Don't go for the curries, they have a bit of fat.

Go for tandori chicken and an salad it is slightly healthier
Chicken tikka with no sauce and boiled rice.
    chicken tikka masala!
    Fish and chips.
Punjab eggplant and spinach dal are my faves.

Any advice you can give me about menstruation?

Hello, ladies/women! I would just like to know some ways a woman can feel more at ease during ';that time of the month.'; How should Evening Primrose Oil be taken? Any other things you can advise that she take/things she should avoid? Thanks!Any advice you can give me about menstruation?
Nice that you ask! You don't mention what symptoms your girlfriend/wife has but Evening Primrose Oil is taken for PMS, not for menstruation. If she has cramps, Ibuprofen works well. Just ask her what she needs and wants!Any advice you can give me about menstruation?
some thing warm to drink is nice-- not too much salt in food wil make us bloat even more!! mayeb get some midol pills supposed to help with pms and bloating up

Advice about being a teenage father?

Like how can I help my girlfriend while shes pregnant? What all should I do for her? Im almost 16[my gf just turned 17 a week ago] and I know im really young to be a dad but I really want to make sure to do everything right. And I just want any advice you guys can come up with. Thanks. Advice about being a teenage father?
well, i was a teenage mother and when i wanted something i was very demanding and rude. So dont take that to offense its just hormones! Be kind to her, love her, make sure you tell her you love her every single day! Its very important to feel that the other person is not going to bail out. I have been with my finance for 4 years and we were together for 3 years when i had my daughter. Walk up behind her and surprise her with a kiss, you know the sweet kind gentle side of you should def. show now! And she will prob. have the baby blues which is alot of crying and being upset for no reason at all. It can also happen if you just as so much walk up and tell her you love her. Its from post part-um and i think you are a great guy for sticking with her! You already show her you are gonna stick around which is a great relief!Advice about being a teenage father?
that's awesome that you're stepping up and want to be involved. other teen dads need to be like you!

    but to help:

    go to the appointments

help with shopping and picking out the baby stuff

help set up the crib and stuff like that

    help pick out names

    earn money for the baby

ask if she needs help with anything

go to lamaze classes with her

be there for the birth and sign the certificate

last but not least: be involved in the child's life. married couples get to see their children whenever they want so tell her that you want to see the child everyday cause you wont want to miss a day of that child's life, work out of schedule and be a loving father to your child.
good on you for being there and being responsible. most guys around your age will deny and run away from the situation.

Just be there for her , she will probably have up and downs alot, which she will just someone to be around for.

Get her what she needs . she will need food , love and maybe a bit more food lol

you will figure out what you , your gf and the baby need as time passes along. you will learn from your mistakes .

    good luck
    Be there for her.

Help get ready for the baby.

Get a job to help support the baby.

Give her a massage when she complains about hurting.

If she is craving a certain food try to go get it for her, even if it is late at night.

Don't yell at her when she is moody.

And, if you want to surprise her with something that might bring her comfort I would suggest buying her a maternity body pillow.
this is a very big deal. the main thing is to make sure she doesn't feel alone. this is probably the worst thing you can do to her. be with her every step of the way and ya'll will be as close as ever. good luck being a daddy.
congratulations first off. its great your taking responsibility and not running away or pushing abortion.

hope you have a beautiful healthy baby.

    just stay by her side. offer her massages. write her sweet love letters and always ask her ';what can i do?';
all you can do is make sure she knows that you are there for her.

    go to her doctor visits

tell her shes pretty (that really helps!!)

and let her know that you will always be there.
Just be there for her. Go to doctor visits with her. Remember pregnancy is an emotional time so be patient and understanding.
well be there for her..go to her doctors appoinments..dont get her mad alot..let her get her things her way..trust me that matters..tell her how beautiful she looks with ur baby inside..tell her u lover her..mean it ofcourse
be right there with her. if she need anything try to do what you can to provide it. show your concern by going to the doctor with her.
Be with her all the time, help her out. Go to the doctors with her

Can I please get some advice on what to do about my deppresseion affecting other people?

Its not new to me, Iv had it for years but I really cant keep it to myself like I used to. People are always mad at me because I appearently am always being down towards them and im never happy about things. I just want any tips or tricks about ways to keep it hidden again. I feel like im losing everybody =/Can I please get some advice on what to do about my deppresseion affecting other people?
Hello there, first of all are you getting medical treatment for your depression? If not, you should. Second, if the people in your life care about you then they won't get at you for talking to them about your depression, they should be helping you. A good supportive network is crucial with depression, try to eliminate people who make you feel worse about yourself and surround yourself with only supportive, loving, caring people.

Good luckCan I please get some advice on what to do about my deppresseion affecting other people?
My best friend suffers from PTSD. Depression is difficult for all of your loved ones, because they care deeply for you and do not like to see you suffer. I don't know if you have one, but get a therapy light. Eat right, exercise, get 8 hours of sleep a day and hang around positive people. Try to look at things brighter. Remember that the glass is half-full. If you need a hug, ask for one. Don't smoke and don't drink, they will depress you. Enjoy the good and important things in life. Pray to God for joy. Life is too short to be miserable. Smile often, laugh often, build up those endorphins :)
I've always been open about my condition (ptsd and emotional instability) and most people respond with empathy and understanding. In your case, it seems that people are expecting too much of you and you should tell them that you really need them to be there while you're down. If they walk away, they weren't really a good friend to start with...

Need advice form lawyer/scientists about my trained monkeys?

OK, Here's the thing. I have 5 trained monkeys and they like to run with scissors. I know that there is some rule that says that you aren't supposed to run with scissors in the house, but my question is, does this same rule apply to monkeys and if so, what will be the legal ramifications? Should I be getting lawyers for my monkeys?Need advice form lawyer/scientists about my trained monkeys?
OMG!!!';OMG'; IS BACK !!!!! I know a story for real that one of my sisters told me about a man who had several monkeys. He finally had to give them away when they all latched onto a chandelier and used the bathroom up there %26amp; it landed all over his carpet and furniture. I didn't make this up..it really happened. So...I hope you don't have any chandeliers.

Since you're so bored...why don't you try writing a book.?..You have the imagination of a comic book writer.Need advice form lawyer/scientists about my trained monkeys?
I think those mushrooms I ate were dodgy.I thought someone was talking about monkeys and scissors. Im off to bed.
Although common sense dictates it, there is no law that forbids running with scissors. However, it is illegal for your monkeys to steal, so you better tell them to watch it. I can't prove it yet, but I know they're responsible for my missing bananas.

P.S. I'm still waiting for that picture regarding your previous question.
Well if you trained them to run with scissors then you have a problem, monkeys like sharp objects. But as you know monkeys have the habit of throwing their poop - there in lies the problem, soon they will be throwing scissors around at each other.

A good primate attorney is advisable, especially in the event of accidental primate puncture due to mischief. You really should get primate puncture insurance to cover damages and legal costs, unless of course if you live in Oklahoma where it is perfectly legal to puncture a primate.
Don't bother with the monkey lawyer. The monkeys would just cut up all his legal papers. Find them an orangutan to teach them origami instead.

I need your advice about talking to the Boss?

I work at a hair salon and my boss/the owner thinks I love my job and that I'm happy because I never complain and I'm always smiling (because I'm that kind of person). But I've been there for 7 weeks and I really don't like the job mainly because we hardly have any customers. It's more like an awkward social gathering every single shift, because we have no customers and we end up having to make ';small talk'; with each other all day long. It's nothing like I expected it to be and I have a real hard time getting up in the morning to go to work cause it's sooooooo boring. We literally have like only 2-3 customers a day. So I was thinking of approaching my boss and telling her that I'm not too happy with the position so that when I do quit in a few weeks or so, it wont be a total shocker. But me telling her that I hate the job will be shocking to her, so how can I tell her?I need your advice about talking to the Boss?
You're going to want to be polite and assertive with this one. You should definitely give your boss the standard 2 weeks notice, but not by telling her how unhappy you are or how much you hate your job. Look for an opportunity to speak privately with your boss - be careful not to put her on the spot in front of the staff.

Once you have asked her if you could speak for a moment, just carefully choose your words without being harsh. Tell her that while you really appreciate the opportunity to work for her, you've made the difficult decision to pursue other opportunities. You don't have to disclose where you're going next, or if you even have anything lined up. If she presses further for reasons why you're leaving - and she probably will - just reiterate that it isn't anything personal against her and that it's more about doing what feels best for you and your goals at this particular point in time.

Give her the two weeks notice, thank her, try to keep it brief, and after two weeks you'll be done. I know that it can be hard or intimidating to approach a boss in this way, but she's only a person, and once you've spoken to her, you'll see that it wasn't as stressful as you'd imagined it would be.I need your advice about talking to the Boss?
Having been an employee at a salon myself i have to ask are you giving the place a true chance. most stylists take at least a year to build a solid client base. you really need to market yourself outside the salon, pass out business cards etc. but if this place is slummy and no wants to go there for this or other reasons don't waste anymore time and tell your boss the environment is too slow paced and offer to help her / him fill the position. It will be awkward I am not going to lie, but you are better off to just be honest. don't lie and say you are moving, it would be highly embarassing if you ran into eachother in the future. good luck.
Just explain that you are seeking a more challenging, rewarding job, and at first you had thought that this was the ';One';, but you now realize that it isn't. Or maybe instead of quitting outright, you could come up with ways to drum up business for yourself and her...something like, maybe contact the local employment agencies and let them know that each referral from them will get a couple of dollars off a certain service. .. or make a ';color'; day-someone comes in wearing a certain color and they automatically get X amount off a service. Good luck!
Looks like you have a case of nocustomeritis. Couple things that might help. Go out and find some customers and do a great job on them so they will tell all their friends or of course you can talk to the boss. Be up front with her and tell her how you feel. Even great employees need satisfaction from their jobs. Tell her if things don't get better then you will have to seek other employment elsewhere. Thank her for the compliments because you don't want to burn any bridges. Do give notice and work the notice out if she wants you to. If you have found another job let them know that you have to give notice because it's the right thing to do. If you were to tell me that you can start tomorrow then I probably wouldn't hire you because what would you do to me if you wanted to leave. Good luck on your career.
Don't tell her. If your bored go find something else to do. Be professional when you give her your 2 weeks notice. Do the best job you can while your there but all you owe her is a days work for a days pay.
Why tell her you hate the job??

Even though she is a nice boss she is still your boss and as such you should be able to talk to her openly and honestly about your concerns... If you are only getting 2-3 punters per day then she must be having sleepless nights trying to work out how to pay you guys and she might even be relieved to know she has one less employer to pay at the end of the week.

Again be open and honest - tell her the job isn't meeting your needs, that you have enjoyed working for her but you will be looking for work elsewhere - Don't forget you may need a reference from her so being honest is always the best policy AND there will be other times in your life when you will be in similar situations, this is as good a time as any to get into the good habit of being assertive.

May be phone her up and tell you you need to have a meeting with her (but don't do it over the phone).

If necessary practice what you want to say to her first, start with acknowledging that you are nervous, and then be as clear as you can and say you are thinking of leaving, from there on it is easy! If she reacts badly to the news this is not your responsibility. You never know she might promote you to manager and you can get on with making the business a success!

Good luck and don't forget to give your self a pat on the back afterwards for being brave and doing something difficult .. the next time you have to do something similar you will be better skilled and able to do it even better
I wouldn't tell the boss that you hate the job. You actually love the job but business is slow. You can tell the boss that as much as you love the job, and you will hate leaving her you feel you must find a position where business isn't so slack. You feel that you are a drain on the business's finances by staying on.

This shows that you are concerned for the business as well as your finances.
One of my friends is doing well with her own business next to her home. She bought a good size shed like a barn house. She borrow $2,500.00 extra from the bank. She cleared up the land next to her house. Put that barn there, fix it up with the bath room, sink, and chair. She paid the loan off in one year. She got the answers machine that people could call her for appointments. She chose the day that she will be off with her family. She only work when she called people back to set up their appointments. She made so much money each week and enjoying it.

You could tell your boss that you in a jam with all your bills. You need to take a break from her shop to think about do something else or go somewhere else to make money. Tell her you have nothing against her by leaving the job. Just all those bills are killing you. You have to pay them. Don't tell her you hate the job or any negative thing because you don't want her to have even a bad thought about you leaving. Everyone have to take care of themselves. You are one of them.
You are in the work force now. To walk out is not attacking her in any way. You are defending yourself. She won't miss you as a worker if you are sharing 3 customers a day. If she misses your small talk, she'll have to get over it. You do have bills to pay, don't you? You get in a major working salon and they are going to eat you alive. Keep your business and personal life separate as much as possible.
Tell her that you are planning to move out of the area .

Im the only one who is vegitarian in my entire family. can someone give me advice and security about it?

im the only one in my entire family (including cousins, sibs, aunts, uncles, etc.) who is vegitarian. some of them hunt and it hurts that they do that out of pleasure. but theyre their own people so they can do what they want. so i feel like they thnk tht im crazy and are against it. i am a veg. because im sort of a tree huggr and animal lovr and i feel like people make fun of that. can someone help me be more secure w/ this? i dont really know 100% what to do. my mom and my brother are pretty much the only people that seem to like the idea. so im confused:) pls. help!

thx alot! 10 pts. for the best answer!Im the only one who is vegitarian in my entire family. can someone give me advice and security about it?
i'm the only vegetarian in my family [save for one cousin, but she lives in a different state], but i honestly don't care.

you need to learn to not care about what other people care about you.

    i live with my mom %26amp; dad - i'm 15.

since i've become vegetarian, they both [my mom more though] have become more and more disgusted with meat commercials, and things like soda, which i also don't consume.

it's good your mom %26amp; brother understand, but honestly your family shouldn't think your crazy for your diet; afterall, you're family! sure, they might tease you and whatnot, but they could just be doing it in a playing way.

all my friends tease me about everything, and some even tease me about being vegetarian.

i guess i'm just used to it, and i know they're just kidding.

when i went down [or rather up, to wisconsin] to visit my brothers, they teased me about being vegetarian, but i could still eat my veggie product, and i proved to them that it was healthy for you, even if most of the foods like boca, morningstar, etc., have a lot of sodium.

one of my brothers is a big hunter, his father was [they're my half-brothers]. my other brother is a big fisher.

i have no problem with it, because, they're my family, and they have pretty much been brought up like that.

if anyone insults your diet, and they're serious, don't be offended. if they're so quick to judge, do you honestly think they're worth being friends?Im the only one who is vegitarian in my entire family. can someone give me advice and security about it?
You will alsways be in groups where you feel an outsider because of your views and belief systems. Throughout you life you will be faced with the problem of whether to go with the flow and be a fence sitter and stand up for your convictions. Also I often take comfort in this advice from Winston Churchill - ';You can please some of the people some of the time but not all the people all the time';. You life style choices and views makes you different but different is ok. You are happy but it sounds like you are feeling that you views makes you an outsider but thats ok - you are learning about conformity. At the moment you are not conforming to your social group who eats meat and hunts and that is ok. A great deal of good has ben done throuth out the world as a non comformist.

A non conformist sticks to what they believe and that they stand strong often when there is over wheming adversity and opposition. So if you are happy then surround yourself with other like minded people who share your views. Yes the members of your family who hunt and eat meat are their own person and so are you and now is the time to find the inner strength to stand up for the courage of your convictions. If you conform to killing animals and eating them you will kill that little bit of you that makes you different and stronger and a better person. No stand strong and who knows you may be a role model for other members of the family who see you as a role model good luck.

Also I ate very little meat growing up and my family thought I was insane. My dad would tuck into steak and eggs for breakfast, and stew for lunch and chops for dinner and chicken sandwiches for snacks. He claimed he hated lentils, beans or other vegetarian food. One day he was out and wnated to buy a shop made meat pie but the only pie about was a vegetarian one from a local health food store so he bought it and said it was wanderful. He was a firm customer buying one when he was in town and I think he was somewhat disappointed that he could not get that type of food at home but I notoced he ate beans and poached eggs and fried tomatoes and hos meat eating was cut down. So there is hope just stick to your ';guns';. Good luck.

Edit to Toph: I am really sorry to hear about your folks and their overt reactions to you not eating meat. I think its awful that your easter gathering was spoilt because of some smart alec response of puutting a animal product in every single dish - thats just so awful. what on earth were they thinking and what point did thye want to make? All intolerances are really ugly - imagine of you had announced you were gay or had converted to being a buddist! I think thats awful - we have tolerances in our family religious tolerances, nutritional tolerances etc. Good on ya for staying with your views.
Just don't worry about it. There arent many vegetarians in my family either, but i don't see what a difference it makes.

If they're making fun of you, ask them to stop. I mean, i understand that if they are giving you a hard time about it then it's more of a big deal.

But you said that you ';feel'; like they think your crazy. I'm not really clear on whether that means that are being mean to you, or if it's just in your head. I guess some more specific details about the situation would help us answer your question.

Ok, to me, it sounds like since your mom and bro ';seem'; to like that you are veggie, that no one has come right out and given you their opinion.

My family seems kinda ';whatever'; about what i eat, ya know? Like, me being veggie is fine, but they would be fine with me being a meat eater too. Just because they eat meat doesn't mean they would be against you being a vegetarian. Some people in my family probably don't even KNOW that i'm a veggie, but it doesnt matter b/c what i eat is my own business. And i'm not telling anyone else what they should eat.

Basically what i'm saying is that it sounds like (from what i know of your situation) that it's all in your head. You're worried that they wouldn't accept your new lifestyle, and that's understandable, who wouldnt be worried? I'm sure as you adjust you'll realize that you're family will always love you no matter what your beliefs are.

(PS-People who hunt usually eat the meat they catch, so it's not like they are doing it out of the sheer pleasure of killing. They're NOT bloodthirsty. They like the challenge, and that they get a dinner out of it. Since they're meat-eaters anyway, It's no worse than getting meat from a factory farm. At least the animal had a nice life in the wild.) I'm not thrilled with hunting either, but that's my understanding of it.
prepare an awesome meal. The best would be a foreign meal,

    http://letsgetsconed.blogspot.com/

    http://www.urbanvegan.blogspot.com/

like chinese, indian, italian, japanese food etc. and show how exciting and good veg food can be!

also, desserts are the way to a persons soul lol, make a good dessert, and their hearts will be satisfied
18 years ago I became a vegetarian. I have 7 siblings, and two parents who refused to believe I was committed to the idea.

The first meal I went home for after choosing vege. was Easter dinner, every single dish had meat in it. The salad had a bacon dressing, the mashed potatoes had suet in them, never before had my Mom used suet in the potatoes. The dessert was some kind of jello product. I sat there without eating for the whole meal. Sad truth is, I asked prior to dinner if I could bring something. They still refuse to allow me to bring food to the gatherings.

For many of the gatherings my Mom may ask everyone to bring something, they don't ask me. If I bring something most of them will not even try it. It is tough with family still.

Last year two of my nieces chose vegetarianism, I now have some company. They told me it is obviously healthy, they believe I look ten years younger than my youngest sibling. It is nice to finally get some support. They also have forced my parents to accept it more.

For support I was lucky, I helped start a small veggie ';commune'; (use the term loosely) two years after I chose it. I lived there for about nine years. We would cook dinners together and share new recipes. Residents could eat anything they wanted off the property, but on the property everything was veggie.

I believe you need support to continue. Hopefully you have friends, are old enough to make this decision and look outside of your home for support. Your Mom sounds like she'll be helpful. The rest of your family sounds like mine. They still believe I will return to eating meat.

Good Luck to you - you can always look here - Yahoo answers - for support, we're a good group of people.

P.S. don't preach to your family, it will turn them away. I spent five years not talking with my father, because my brother asked me a question about vegetarianism. My dad walked in only to hear my answer and thought I was preaching.

Feel free to e-mail me through my profile link, if you have any other concerns, or want to know more.
Don't eat animal products and grow a thick skin. You will have to put up with a lot of sharp jabs from people who don't understand. Now if you place your eyes on the sides of your head instead of forward that will ward off some of the jabs. You will always be fair game for them.
i am the only vegitarian in my family like you. Remember the following things. Bring veggie burgers (or something) when ever you eat at someones house. The family will always forget and put meat in their food or offer you a hambuger. You get used to it. The family gets used to it even if they don't always do the right thing.
    run
I'm not a vegetarian but I don't like hunting or fur so I can kind of see where you're coming from. I wouldn't try to get people in your family to stop hunting. You'll probably just annoy them. You can just be more conscientious yourself and not buy leather or fur clothing, buy cruelty free products and don't eat meat. If your entire family eats meat you'll probably have to make and buy some of your own food. You can't expect your whole family to change or do extra work making special food just for you. There's nothing wrong with being veggie and it can be a healthier lifestyle choice. I have lots of vegetarian friends and because of them I've tried new foods (like tofu) and eaten in new restaurants that I probably never would have tried otherwise. Find some more ';tree hugger'; friends if you need some more support in your decision.
Hi.. It is hard sometimes to stand alone for what you believe in : it takes someone who follows their heart as well as their truth .. I hope this story gives you hope. When I became a vegetarian ..I also was the only one in my family as well as anyone I had ever met .. My Mom told me daily I would die and my family thought I had lost my mind .. To make a very long story short . as time went by and they became accustomed to my beliefs ..( and thought about why I became one even though I seldom spoke about it unless asked) ..I now have 2 Vegan sisters , 2 Vegan sons , a Vegan daughter in law , a Vegan grandson ..and my parents eat meat once a week at most , my other family members have all tried and enjoy vegan/vegetarian meals often as well as cut down their meat consumption through the years .. So my point .. hold out .. you WILL feel great with your decision because YOU cause no harm to live ..and live healthy .. Here is a quote from martin luther King Jr ..one of my favorites .. and PS ..Dexter Scott King (and his MOM) became Vegan .. as well as so many others through history .. ......................... .. '; Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'

Expediency asks the question, 'Is it politic?'

Vanity asks the question, 'Is it popular?'

But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'

And there comes a point when one must take a position that is

    neither safe,

    nor polite,

    nor popular,

but one must take it because one's conscience tells one that

    it is right.

1st of all you cant just give people points. but anyways.....

um....im the only vegetarian in my family too. i think you should ask them to stop killing those animals just for pleasure.that is mean.
    heyy x

like you i am the only vegie in my familey and my uncle hunts, you just have to think that you are saving a life, and you are making one very happy animal live longer, try and convince them (your family) to understand talk them through what they are actually eating and all the pain and suffering that one poor innocent animal has gone through to have a ham sandwich when you can get quorn meat which is a vegetarian meat so is actually meat free and can save many lives. if people want to make fun of it then let them that is there problem just tell them that it is there fault that all the animals ae going extinct and that one day they will understand. This is where you no who is supporting you all the way and who isnt, just follow your mind and speak the truth hunni,

    hope this helps

I am a vegan which makes things even harder for me at my house. I am an animal lover but that doesnt matter really. Becoming a vegetarian is your choice. My family hunts quite alot too and I agree I feel sad about that. I would stay vegetarian and support what you believe... if you think eating meat is wrong then dont do it. No matter what people say. They are your family and they will love you no matter what.
i'm not a vegatarian or a tree hugger, but you are entitled to your opinion just like everyone is entitled to theirs. i don't force anyone to believe in everything i do, and whatever they do is fine, untill it interfears with my life. just do your own thing, and let them do theirs. just don't push your beliefs on them, and tell them to do likewise.

you really ought to try some bacon, it's delicious.

Who knows some advice about barrel racing?

im gonna be a barrel racer and i need some advice.Who knows some advice about barrel racing?
I am a barrel-racer and all I have to say is don't expect to learn everything there is in just a day. It takes time and patience. You have to understand that it's just as hard for you as it is your horse. I don't like the fact that some people send their horses off to trainer's, I feel that the only way you and your horse are going to prosper in this is if you learn together. Don't over do it. Your horse is working just as or if not harder than you are. Your horse needs just a little play time too. Don't lose your cool, your horse knows when something is wrong and it makes them uncomfortable. I wish that I wouldn't have stopped barrel-racing, but I did. It wasn't any fun anymore. My grandma made almost impossible to concentrate on anything but winning. Don't get me wrong winning feels great, but the most important thing is to relax and just have fun.

When your relaxed and having fun so will your horse. But when your stresses and worried your horse senses it and it makes her worried and stresses. Talk to your horse...tell him/her that everything is ok and massage the back of their neck. All they need is a little tender loving care and you'll be riding like a pro in no time.Who knows some advice about barrel racing?
What advice you need? Just email or re-write what exactly need help on in barrel racing and I will respond to that.

Barrel racing takes a lot of pratice and conditioning with you and your horse. I was always taught to not run towards the barrel itself. Run a little past the barrel and turn in, with seating deep in the saddle, hand on the horn IF permits for the rider, with a good bit that will not jolt or pinch the horse. A good turn is also completed by a horse that is a good neck reiner and responsive of leg ques. As soon as going through the one barrel, look on to focus to set up for next barrel and so forth.

The last barrel for me before running back to finish line is the one my mare most likely will knock over. So, I always balance myself to be able to place my hand down to balance the barrel if she bumps into it.

I usually will do warm ups before we go. A 5 min walk, 10 min jog, 15 min lope, 10 min jog, 5 min walk. Then switch to other direction to repeat. Sometimes I will switch it up by doing figure 8's to switch the leads and pratice on the leaning. I will take a circle wide and each complet turn I will make the size smaller to the point my horse will be doing a very fast turn around. If you get dizzy easy, it might be difficult for you to handle at first. Just keep your chin up and look ';onwards'; not at the ground like a lot of the girls I train first do. Where your eyes go, is where the horse will go.

Make sure the nose is tucked in a little and the nose is towards the barrel, not the outside (which if outside can cause the horse to not turn in and lean into the barrel, knocking it over).
You need a good saddle if you don't have one already. If you are goin pro your saddle will cost a lot. You need three barrels to state the obvious. You need a horse who likes speed. If not the track will take forever to get around. If you don't win the first time don't let it get you down you need a lot of practice to get good.
I'm a horse rider and although I don't do western I will tell you as much as I know. Start going for lessons and be sure you can handle speed and your horse. Make sure you are able to stop the horse if necessary. Good luck and have fun!!!
read the horseman mag and talk with people in the horse business,my uncle is 70 and still races at state shows, show the big boys myself. good luck
I'm a hunter/jumper rider, however I have barrel racing friends and this is what I've learned from them:

Always start and train slow. Speed comes later. Make sure your horse has the pattern memorized, but don't burn him out with repetative boring exercises. Do other stuff inbetween like leg yielding exercises for example. Your horse should be able to do the barrel patten easily at the walk, trot and canter. Be consistant in your aids and bending requests around each barrel. Work on transitions....A LOT. Your horse needs to be able to go from a canter to a walk quickly. Your horse needs to be able to whoa on a dime, so to speak. Speed control is important since you can't round a barrel if your horse won't slow down for the turn.

If you have a large enough arena, you'll eventually start gallop training and at that point you should consult someone more knowledgable.

Keep in mind that speed is a small part of training. Being able to accurately execute the barrel pattern without knocking them down is most important. Also, don't over due it on the speed and take a tip from race horses: They are rarely galloped full out for training. It's mostly cantering and a hand gallop that they work on until race day. Then they are allowed to gallop/run full out.

    Good luck!
You need a couple of things to start a good horse make sure it is sound especially through the hooves and on up through the legs there is a lot of stress involved in barrel racing, you need a barrel saddle its made especially for this sport deep seat and a taller horn cost varies on who you buy it from buy new if you can if not there is a lot of good used barrel saddles out there we use circle Y and Billy Cook but these are just a few(my wife likes these brands)then learn the pattern and above all else you must have a good seat this is a fast sport with a lot of turning and burning so practice walking before you run the speed will come once you master the turning. there so much to tell you i wish i could basically it comes down to this train get a healthy horse mind you not all horses can barrel race 1/4 horses that have cutting bred in seem to do pretty good that is my wife's horse. any way check out and see if they have a local Gymkhana organization in your area this is a good organization to learn horsemanship and skills to help you become a good rider as well as barrel racer Ive said a lot but this sport means a lot to me because my wife loves it and actually does pretty good won some money a couple saddles and a bunch of buckles have fun a please ride safely and please check out the Gymkhana i think its worth your time
Do a web search for Martha Josey. She gives clinics at her ranch in east texas, buy some Western Horseman books, videos...Don't just take the advice of someone at a playday that runs barrels. Barrel horse can be screwed up just as quick if not quicker than other competetive horses. Agree with the previous post about taking your time, make sure your horse is responsive, light and has good flexion and bend before you get it near a barrel. Teach it the pattern at a walk first. Circle each barrel individually (not thru the pattern) over and over while bending. After your horse is doing the pattern correctly at a walk, trot, lope, you'll only want to make one or two true runs during a practice time with lots of walks, trots, lopes. Another thing if you walk the pattern, make the horse walk out don't let it pick up speed until you ask it to. Hope this helps, not a barrel trainer just stuff I've picked up from my friends that run barrels.

  • Tax advice needed about renting out my house?

I'm in a high end tax bracket and I've rented out my house. I've rented it for $1400.00 a month. This rent becomes taxable income. My question - how can avoid paying a high rate of income tax on this rental income? Could I set up a small rental buisness and deduct my mortgage payment as an expense? What other options do I have to avoid the incometax hit of renting out my house?Tax advice needed about renting out my house?
You don't have to have a business registered to have the mortgage payment deducted.

You can automatically deduct a certain portion of your mortgage payment and any other expenses you have on that property to offset the rental income you are receiving. Expenses such as house insurance, property taxes, any renovations any utilities that you might pay etc. etc.

I have rented out my condo for years in Ontario, Canada and my tax preparer is almost always able to cut my rental income down to nearly zero against my expenses.

Find a good tax preparer and for goodness sakes not H%26amp;R Block or any of those places. An accountant is best.Tax advice needed about renting out my house?
You can't change your marginal tax rate, but you can reduce your taxable income via deductions. You can deduct interest (but not the whole mortgage payment) %26amp; property taxes just like when you lived there. In addition, you can deduct any other expenses such as advertising, repairs %26amp; maintenance, and professional expenses (legal/accounting/bank fees) that are related to you renting the property. In addition, you can take a deduction for depreciation.

These probably won't offset the entire amount of rental income, but they should offset a good chunk of it.

PS Don't listen to mrscmmckim. Almost everything in her post can be classified as wrong, stupid, or nonsense.
Actually, you should have a business registered for the rental and all expenses should be deducted. Mortgage, insurance, repairs, loss from non-payment of rent or months of the house being empty. An accountant would cost an arm and a leg and eat up your profits on this venture. I suggest you do some research on the internet, get a book or talk to another landlord for ideas.

I have many many years experience at this process....take my word for it, it is a low paying venture unless the house is paid for already or you have multi buildings.
Go to the IRS site and request Publication 17. Its a little known thick book covering all tax issues.

    http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/index.html?鈥?/a>
You are allowed to deduct the expenses you incurred related to your rental. It is detailed on a Schedule E of form 1040 and includes things like advertising, repairs, cleaning and maintenance, depreciation, etc. Of course, since you are still the owner you can deduct the mortgage interest and homeonwner's insurance premium. If you pay a management company fee that is deductible. Homeowner's associtation dues, travel expenses you incurred going back and forth to show, maintain and check on the property. All are deductible.

I'm doing a paper and it has to be kind of an advice column about family.?

I don't really want to do it on anything like really depressing or anything, but everything people have been coming up with is like death or abandoning or family member doing drugs and stuff. I just want like a small family problem to write about that is fairly simple. Any suggestions? It would really help!I'm doing a paper and it has to be kind of an advice column about family.?
How about the question of a curfew? What are the rules and what are the repercussions of breaking the curfew time. Should there be exceptions?

Or the question of an allowance = should it be earned monies, or just given. Is there a saving amount required?

Or the question of chores = how should they be divided between the children, should they change weekly, should they be paid, or part of making the family run smoothlly.

What's some info/advice you can give me about being in a relationship with someone who has bi-polar?

I'm asking because there's this guy in my life and I don't know where things are going to lead with him. Nothing might come out of it but then again we might start dating. He has bi-polar. He's 100% non-violent and from what I've noticed when I'm around him he doesn't seem to really get depressed but he sometimes talks fast and seems to have too much energy. Is his being bi-polar an automatic deal breaker as far as having a potentially healthy relationship? Thanks! What's some info/advice you can give me about being in a relationship with someone who has bi-polar?
I have bipolar I disorder and I am in a healthy marriage for 2 years going on 3. As long as he's on medication and going to his doctor or therapy appointments every month you should have no problem with him. Find out what type I or II. You can have a healthy relationship with him if you decide to date him. Give it time though, you may see more about his bipolar disorder as time progresses. Once you see him going through spacing out or hallucinations then you may change your mind, but if you love him, you'll understand. It's best right now for you to be educated on the disorder.

You can also read my testimony on bipolar I on myspace.

If it helps start going to support classes with him.

Good Luck and God Bless You and your family. What's some info/advice you can give me about being in a relationship with someone who has bi-polar?
I read your questions and some answers and see once again, myth blinding reality...

People who have bipolar disorder don't change on a dime, the mood change takes place over a period of time, however, the manic phase and depressed phase can impede on his and your life..is he diagnosed? Does he take medication? It sounds like he is in a manic phase, the only way to see how it goes is to see how it goes, he could manage his symptoms well, or not, only he would know..but no to me it isn't adeal breaker nor, the women I have dated...
If he is able to tolerate his meds ';daily'; and doesn't say he feels like a ';zombie'; on them, you have a chance. But note this, these people are mercurial and can turn on a dime, and become a menace (harsh word - I know) and bham! - Keep it as a friendship, but don't go any further.
    He ';IS'; Bipolar not ';has';.

I talk fast so does that make me bipolar?

    No.

Question about the Bridal registry, I need some advice about return policy?

I am registered at Jcpennys and Bed,Bath and Beyond and I recieved muilitple itmes of the same thing. The problem is none of them came with gift reciepts, Now I have 2 slow cookers from Jc Pennys and 2 Sets of 62 count dishes from Bed bath beyond...and 16 teal napkins that don't go with my colors and that I never registered for. Advice?Question about the Bridal registry, I need some advice about return policy?
Bed bath and Beyond has a great no hassle return policy. You should have no problems returning the dishes there. When I went there to register they told me they realize this and if something was bought twice no problem returning it.

JCPenney- I also registered there and they are usually pretty good about taking returns for exchanges or credit. All you can do is try.

The teal napkins, if they came from BBB they will probably take them back as well. They really do have the best return policy for this kind of stuff.

If you do have trouble returning anything, regift them maybe?

I don't think you will have a problem with either store though:)Question about the Bridal registry, I need some advice about return policy?
I believe you should be able to return to either since you have your registry with them.

If they don't give you cash, I know for a fact BB%26amp;B will give you store credit. I'm almost positive JCP will too, but I don't have personal experience with them.
    Lol. What a bummer.

You can keep them and give them as Christmas gifts to friends.

Call your local JC Penny and ask them. You might be able to return them for store credit.
As long as it is still in original box you should not have a problem

This is the biggest and I thought most well known SCAM of all time. DO not send any money as she is just a photo and there is no woman. There is however a room full of people writing you nice letters in a tried and true method to get your money. I bet the photos are really something..... Do not send your money as you will get nothing and there is no one to meet.
    Yes and PLEASE LISTEN!

    This is a scam!!

I will tell you how to deal with it.

There is no such money requirement...and your ';woman'; is not even in Moscow

First do an IP lookup on her emails... you will see it is the same before she went to Moscow as it is now

OH wait... good point guy below...

Look at one of your earlier emails... take any line out of it and put quotes around it...and do an internet search.

    I'll give you an example:

    1 sec

    search this line..include the quotes:

    ';computer in service of acquaintances found to me Some structures of people which coincide with my inquiry';

    and you get this:

It's a scam. Do not send money to a woman you met on the Internet. I'm sure she emailed you passport image and the picture of her is hot. This is a ';honey trap.'; Think with your other brain, the one in your head.

If you want to see where she's really at sign up for a FREE account at www.pointofmail.com This will show you all the information about where your emails to her are being opened.
I have read all your questions. Somebody going to scam u. Read US Government laws concerning visa process. It's all about visa process, she lies to u all the time. It's not so easy to get a visa to US for Russian or Eastern European citizens. They have to apply for visa first. Nobody asks them to show money. They have to fill a lot of papers and they can get visa only if they have a work invitation or involved in students program or they can get fiance visa(only once, if u r not get married in 2 month she will have to leave US and she will never can get the same fiance visa) Read all this stuff on Government site. It's pretty easy.

I have answered once kinda same question, check it, hope it will help.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>

  • Thinking about becoming a Commercial Electrician, need advice from someone who is one.?

A little background, I'm 25 and live in the seattle area. I decided I wanted to join an apprenticeship program. I was going back and forth between being a Commercial Carpenter or a Commercial Electrician (not residential house work, but big building commercial work).

I don't know much about either, but I became a carpenter about 2 months ago, and I'm starting to think maybe I should go electrician instead, but I need some advice.

Heres the reason I went carpenter.

    1. The starting pay was much higher $19.50 vs $14.50 (I need at least about $16 /hr to get by on)

    2. It seems like (but please correct me if I'm wrong), there is more to learn as a carpenter, since you are building entire structures, rather than simply installing the wiring. It seems like other than running wires, hooking up breakers/circuits, doing conduit, etc. Seems like it would get boring.

    3. I think there is more ';pride'; being able to point out all the buildings you ';built';, rather than just wired

continued -%26gt;Thinking about becoming a Commercial Electrician, need advice from someone who is one.?
I think we hashed this all out a little while back for you. All the pros and cons are still the same as they were then. Do what you want to do. None of us can decide that for you. We laid out the facts, now it's up to you. But doing what you like best is important. Putting 40 years into something you don't like is not a good thing.Thinking about becoming a Commercial Electrician, need advice from someone who is one.?
i will speak from a non union perspective and from CA

out her the Carpenters union is stronger than the IBEW as you do see them mainly on high rise, but not much on low rise 2 story max tilt ups, as generally the rule of thumb goes, if no building steel ( with the Iron Workers ) in a building, then no trade unions generally on that project, and since so much of the commercial work out here is non union ( low rise 2 story max commercial parks everywhere ), if you are any good as a journeyman electrician or state certified electrician, you have plenty of work year round with the occasional slow down, ( though that's true of any construction trade field ), the nice thing about commercial is that you are somewhat immune from the residential ups and down that come with housing boom and bust cycles, since commercial TI work is always being done and it's not uncommon to re work a building some 2 to 10 years later as a new tentant moves in after the old one moves out, and this frequently involves gutting the old system out and redoing a new one, so it's a constant work cycle unlike residential work, where once the work is done you move on and rarely come back for add on work.

Part of what I like about is the challenge of newer more involved installations and realizing there are a lot of hacks out there and electricians who simply do not care and sometimes the challenge is just fixing their eff ups.

As a former carpenter for 14 years ( non union ) and my retired father who was 14 years union, then the rest non union, there is a whole generatio of carpernters who can be classified in 2 camps, those who know wood and those who know steel, it's rare that I run into any carpenter ( union or non union ) who knows both sides, old timers tend to be wood and may have been in steel framing side in the later years teaching thew up an comers a few things before they retire, but new younger carpenters are generally one sided, and of them you can even break it down to rough and finish carpenters and from their break it down to sub categories, like millwork, base n case, door hangers.. etc...I am glad my father taught me a lot as i can easily transition from one trade to the other, from one category to another with ease, today's carpenters cannot, they tend to be one sided, it seems gone are the day of the ';master'; carpenter who knew it all and was pretty darn good at it all, those who got that good generally turned non union contractor ( hence why you see so many unskilled union / non union hacks out there as there is a loss of mentors )

in the commercial side it too has been subdivided by the Union, you get low voltage, high voltage and then the lineman ( who I would really call high voltage ), from these you get residential, commercial and industrial, and if one generally you have a bit of a struggle going up the the electrical food chain, residential electricians have a tougher time in the commercial work at first, an the same goes for a commercial going into industrial world

there is plenty of hard work

    plenty of brain work too

as once you know what you are doing

you realize how bad it is with commercial hacks that take short cuts or do not know the codes

    is there burn out

    yes

    in both trades

but that's usually a personal issue and not generally a trade issue

for those who take pride in their work, they will always be in demand, as for the dopers, burn outs, flakes, etc will always be the industries bane of existence
I started in a plant that made steel products for comm. and industrial construction One day i saw a bid on the broad for an electrician helper Bid on the job and got it.The taught me how to run conduit pull wires at frist then I moved after a while to wiring the panels. All under eyes of the masters. Then they let me start trouble shooting problems with motors and controls about that time solid controls came in use the old guys where lost. Me being young then i would read all i could find about these motor controls so it got to the point all i did where motors and controls. If you kown motor and controls it all the comes pretty easy. I was 18 when I start have never been with out a job I'm 50 now and some what retried. I work if i want I also learned a/c and refrigeration which goes along with gas fitting also.work at getting as any certifications as possible you will never be out of work and will make good money.
I have been in the trade for 20 years mostly commercial and industrial. the best part is i have all ways had a job Do what you feel best at and you will be all right. money is not every thing

First time mother-to-be needs advice about baby products?

Hi everyone. I am 18 weeks pregnant with my first %26amp; there are SO many products out there, different brands, etc. Do any of you out there know of a website or some sort of resource which will have a checklist of everything you need for a new baby %26amp; which products are rated the best? Thank you :)First time mother-to-be needs advice about baby products?
I know what you are going through it is overwhelming so many things. I’m a mother of a 3 months old baby girl. I looked around in the internet and compared a lot of checklists, same are so long oh no. I think one of the best is Wal-Mart because it has the important things for baby 0-3 months checklist.

And later when the baby is born you can check the 4-12 months checklist. The only thing I would buy for 4-6 months right away is some cloths or better put it on your baby registry when you have one.

What I also like at walmart.com is the costumer reviews. So you can see how the products are, not from some company, no from real people who use it.

What I really recommend to get is a baby swing, a bouncer chair and a baby gym. This will be enough for the first couple months. I used the baby swing in the first 2 months everyday. The bouncer chair is good when you go somewhere so that the baby is not always lying on the floor. It is light und easy to take with for example to you parents or parents in law. Also I like to use it at home when I’m in the kitchen. So the little one is not is with me and is not on the floor. The one I have is “Fisher Price - Rainforest Bouncer” you can easily detach the front part so that you have only the chair.

The baby gym is good so that the baby is entertain while you have to do other things at home and it is not only in is crib/basinet. I have the “Fisher Price - Rainforest Melodies %26amp; Lights Gym” my girl really likes the mirror, the butterflies and the rattle on it. Also she enjoys the lights and music on it.

The baby swing I have is ';Fisher Price - Baby Papasan Cradle Swing, Nature's Touch'; I'm very happy with it. I really like it that it swings two ways and more important my baby loves it.

For strollers I would go with a travel system where you have a stroller and baby car seat. This car seat is enough for a while, later when the baby is bigger you can get another one for older babies and toddlers.

One more thing receiving blankets get the oversize ones not the regular size they are too small. My baby girl likes still go get wrapped in the receiving blanket and the regular would be already to small after a weeks, the oversize is still big enough to wrap her into.First time mother-to-be needs advice about baby products?
I would suggest you read the Baby Bargains book as well.

Also, beware! A large majority of baby products are completely unnecessary. Companies focus on parents of babies because they know every parent wants only the best for their new little child so they make it seem as though what they are offering is something you cannot live without. However, because babies grow and change so very quickly, most products are used only a few short months or even weeks and then are no longer useful to the parent . Babies NEED love, and a few basic necessities are necessary (clothes, diapers and something to hold them when your arms can't - a carrier, sling, stroller, etc.), but not a lot more. Most parents end up with 10-15 products to ';hold'; their child when they can't (swing, Bumbo seat, bouncy seat, exersaucer, etc.), when really 1 or 2 would suffice!

So think carefully before you spend your money about whether it is something you need or something that will only be around a short while! Just my two cents!
I had the best luck at Babies R Us. They have a new parent check list on their web site that will tell you exactally what you need. I was in the same position as you are. ( I have a 4 month old and am a 1st time mom.) Babies R Us also has a rating system on all of their products so that way when you find something that you like, you can read what other parents have to say about it and the pros/cons. Just go to www.babiesrus.com and it will take you right to it. It is a very easy website to shop around on. I think I got almost everything from there for my daughter (even down to her bedroom furniture) and everything is great!! Good luck. Also Target has some great baby products too!!!

If I can make a recommendation to you, I would suggest that you look into Graco products for your car seat, stroller, pack n' play, swing, high chair, etc. They have great ratings!!!! They have travel systems (stroller, car seat and base combo) and they are amazing!!! I love mine and to sit the carseat in your car, it easily snaps into the base that stays in the car and it is very easy to get the car seat in and out!!! Just a suggestion...
All of the choices can be overwhelming, I know! There's a New Parents Checklist at BabiesrUs that can be very helpful.

It breaks everything down by category, but as for what exactly to choose in each category (for example, which type of baby carrier) that is up to the parent. If there are reviews for the products, you can read them there as well.

Amazon also has lots of reviews for baby products.
here is a good website to look at for some things:

    http://www.ehow.com/how_8956_stay-away-p…

you will want bottles that are BPA free. (glass is best in my opinion) plastics have a lot of chemicals that get released when heated up

Ask moms what there biggest REGRET was in all of their purchases too..

for me it was our stroller/travel system. i got a really nice expensive one.. buuuut it hardly fits in my impala's trunk! (which is HUGE) and i got a car seat that can hold a baby up to 30 pounds, the usual is like 20 or 21 pounds.. i thought it would be good for a lot of reasons, but it's bigger than other car seats and a LOT heavier.. i hate lugging it around..

AND i really want a jogging stroller but after i got our stroller.. i saw they make jogging travel systems (matching car seat) and i would have rather done that.. then spend all this money on a stroller when i really just want a jogging stroller (jogging strollers are nice even just for walks and regular activities)
Agree with the post re: Toys R Us. You can also check out the following:

They have a whole set of checklists that may be helpful:

    Congrats and have fun shopping!
Some of it is just preferences of the mother. I had a lot of things for my first and with my second realized that you do not need all the things like wipe warmer etc. Its just which extra comforts you want and can afford.
There is a book I would recommend called ';Baby Bargains'; Lots of great info and ratings on different products.
