What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?

Just curious. I know people have different view points on what you should or shouldn't do while being pregnant. What do you think is the stupidest think people say you should or shouldn't do while pregnant?What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?
I can't stand when people chastise a pregnant women for drinking a pop or eating a cheeseburger. I mean jeeze, my feet hurt, my back aches, I have to pee every 3 minutes, I can't brush my teeth without vomiting from morning sickness, and I'm about to squeeze 8 pounds out of my vagina, and you're trying to tell me I can't even eat a darn cheeseburger!?!What is the stupidest advice or rule you were told about while being pregnant?
well dont pick up heavy things i know a girl who did that and she went into labor almost 2 months eirly and lost her baby so be careful





But another thing I heard was to not bottle feed a baby because of ';nipple confusion'; Someone I knew left her doctor because she tried to persure her into not bottle feeding her son. She bottle fed him anyway.
don't eat raw green beans.. only eat organic food... no caffeine at all... make sure to have a pillow between your legs when you sleep or you'll squash the baby... etc etc.. a bunch of pregnancy myths... some may be a good idea to do ya.. but your baby isn't going to die...
Someone told me not to reach above my head at all during pregnancy, because the umbilical cord could get wrapped around the baby's neck that way. Sounds dumb to me because the baby backflips and somersaults a lot in there.
To eat lot's of big meals through out the day, even if your not hungry because your ';feeding for 2';





My BF's mom is ALWAYS on me to eat, however I've never been a big eater. My doctor wasn't concerned so why would I be?
Don't lie on your stomach, you';ll squish the baby. My doctor told me i can lie on my stomach as long as it is comfortable, the baby is well protected.
Someone told me that I should drink alcohol and start smoking pot while pregnant because they did with their last pregnancy and that's the only one of there kids that used his brains and graduated highschool. Very stupid!
my friend was dead honest about this.


Dont go golfing with my husband because when you swing your arms go above your head and the cord could get wrapped around your babies neck.


ohhh the good advice you always get.
not to dye my hair, to put a cover in my tummy because the baby can smell everything!! yeahhhhh that麓s stupid!! to stay away from dyes, etc.....
