I am twenty two and I have a four year old daughter. Up until now I have been in school and the college I have been attending has offered child care to student mothers. However I am graduating now, and getting a job in a high school system next fall. My daughter won't be starting kindergarten for another school year. Where can I find cheap but quality child care, in MA. any ideas?Need some advice about my daughter?
Your daughter is old enough for pre-kinderNeed some advice about my daughter?
There is a company based out of Malden, MA called Child Development and Education. They are a non-profit that accepts vouchers from the State to subsidize the cost of day care - you probably have to qualify as need-based though. The Company works with 100's of daycare providers throughout the State.
Alternatively, search for daycare that is based out of someone's home - that is often cheaper. Just make sure you thoroughly research the place/care giver.
Check the local high school near where you'll be working. They sometimes have a childcare program for the students as a class that the enrollment is only teacher's children.
I'm sure you can find some guidance in-person at city hall. OR the HR rep you're working with at the school disctrict office would know.
your daughter should be eligible for pre-K. check your local school systems. this could be very convienient for you.
Call around, or call a social worker to see if you qualify for any sort of government assistance.
u should ask around but u should check reviews on it first, u dont want to send her to a low quality area

Check out Head Start in your area, if they have it.
