Help and advice about self employment?

I am disabled and thinking of starting my own business. Can anyone give me help and advice concerning self employment and grants that are available.Help and advice about self employment?
Too much to go into here. Contact your local Business Link. They will give you an advisor who will cover all the aspects of running a business you will need. They may also be able to put you in touch with local organisations which help disabled people get into work (the organisation I work for in Cambridgeshire does this).Help and advice about self employment?
If you are sure that you have a sound business idea (and I trust that you have already had experience in the proposed line of business) you should consult an accountant at the outset who could give you the relevant advice including the possibility of obtaining a grant.

Many accountants are prepared to give a free initial consultation particularly to a disabled person. At the outset you should establish how much if any his charges for the proposed initial consultation will be so that you do not suddenly get an unexpected large bill.
