in Canada the Supreme court reopened a 12 year old prenup case where the ex wife's life didn't turn out as well as the husband's. She got the deal amended. The ex wife was a lawyer when she signed, and she had even taken it to another lawyer for advice. She signed anyway and the court nullified it and screwed him. The ex wil be with you forever if they want to be. SadMy daughter getting married at the weekend advice about pre nuptials?
In the UK they are not worth the paper they are written on. In UK law a woma'ns property also remains hers even if she marries also wills stand even if married so if she has put the kids to inherit that that stays the same. If she wants to change the provision to leave something to her new husband - maybe in trust for the kids then her solicitor can advise her on the best way to do that depending on the size of her estate.
The solicitor will do all the necessary work on tuesday!
give it to the kids now
