teachers not wearing jumpers, daughter forced to. she was asked to put it back on to ask to take it off ! rediculous!Trying to obtain advice about my daughter being forced to wear school jumper in searing heat,NO AIR CON!?
i am presuming
she knew that she had to ask to take it off
and yet chose to take it off
your objection is to her being asked to put it back on
in order to ask to take it off
yes?
there's more to this than meets the eye
me thinks!
don't sweat the small stuff
there'll be plenty of times when you need to be taken seriously
and this is not one of them
trust me, lighten upTrying to obtain advice about my daughter being forced to wear school jumper in searing heat,NO AIR CON!?
You are soo right.
This is ridiculous.
The heat is terrible here.
If only my sons teachers obsessed with their quality of teaching as much as they do with his uniform.
He has spent weeks with teachers barking at him for even undoing his top button and saying he is not allowed. He comes home drenched in sweat and feeling ill.
Plus the water fountains are not working - can you believe that?
I decided to cut the top button off his shirt so at least he could have it open.
Now they keep yelling at him why his mother hasn't sewn on the button yet.
Why can't his father sew it on anyway? Why me?
First thing to do, is ask the teacher concerned.
If you are not satisfied with the reply, seek a meeting, with the head teacher.
Still unhappy?
Sort out the school governors.
After that, your local district councillor.
If all that going through the chain of command is too much trouble, contact the Health and Safety organisation, and get a guidance.
Then sue, for discrimination.
My daughter's school issues the ';blazer letter'; each summer term saying that the students do not have to wear their blazers if the weather is hot.
I would write to the school and explain that you feel it is not appropriate to require the children to wear the school jumper when the weather is very hot. That your daughter will take off her jumper if she feels too hot, and that if the teacher has an issue with that they must discuss it with you, not your daughter.
That seems a little extreme.
perhaps you should get in touch with the Deputy Head or Head on Monday and find out why this is the procedure. They should not be told to wear their jumpers unless consented to do otherwise.
Now that sounds like there is a rule that students have to ask permission to take of their jumpers alter uniform and she broke the rule.
Yes it is a silly rule but you probably signed a piece of paper saying she would obey the rules.
