Two days ago some of them became swollen, itchy and painful. One on the back of my leg seems to be spreading out and is hot and inflamed. I got cortisone cream and antihistamine tablets from the pharmacist today, and am hoping that these will do the trick. Has anyone any other advice or wonder remedies....please? I'm pretty desperate.
Thanks.Anyone any advice? I got about 9 mosquito bites on my arms and legs in Northern Italy 8 days ago.?
Avon 'Skin so Soft' is great for repelling mos's. Not only for us but for horses too. Body lotion, shower gel etc. The one in the aqua coloured bottle. One of my bites was about 2 inches long, it was so swollen I could have put rested a 2p piece on it! I don't know who discovered the Avon but it's well known in the horse world and it does work!Anyone any advice? I got about 9 mosquito bites on my arms and legs in Northern Italy 8 days ago.?
I am quite allergic to mosquito bites, my sister and I got bitten badly by the ones in Hong Kong. Each bite ended up the size of a ten pence piece - the old ten pence's! and they were very red and swollen for about 2months. I just used a cream I was given there, it was kinda mentholly but nothing really worked on the itching long term.
antihistamine tablets + antihistamine and antispetic/antibiotic cream such as polysporin.
Going to the doctor is the best option to make sure you hae not caught infection or anything.
Try Listerine mouthwash-not only does it help mosquito bites but it is great to use on the Texas fire ant bites!!
Bless you and good luck!!!
First see a doctor to make sure you haven't developed some sort of an infection. My Mom just got an infection after a bite. After getting a mild treatment of antibiotic from the doctor she used the following:
Aloe Gel - use topically on the bites: http://www.marketamerica.com/PULSE99/ind鈥?/a>
Ultimate Aloe-this one you drink: http://www.marketamerica.com/PULSE99/ind鈥?/a>
OPC-3-take as directed on the bottle: http://www.marketamerica.com/PULSE99/ind鈥?/a>
I would make an appointment to see your GP
If the bites are getting hot and spreading, you may need antibiotics to clear an infection.
Don't leave it any longer!!!!
the mosquitos around at the moment are pretty nasty - we have loads in our garden in nottingham, you need to buy some bite stuff good ones come in a thin tub and have to say dont smell to great, boots or wilko's do one, put it on everytime they get ichy
