Thinking about moving contraception advice please?

Ive been on the Contraceptive pill for 6 months now, im 17 and in a stable relationship, and at the moment it looks like he's going to be sticking around for a while! im getting bored of having to remeber to take it every day at the same time, and even if im an hour late i really do worry, anybody got any advice about different methods like implant or injection? and like how long do you have to be off it before you concieve?

Thanks!Thinking about moving contraception advice please?
the pill is a really good form of birth control. i was on it for like 10 years or something. Just put the pack near your toothbrush and every morning when you brush your teeth, take the pill. Don't get bored with it.. it's responsibility, it's not supposed to be fun. Also, i used the Nuva Ring for a few months.. it's a soft plastic ring that you insert and leave in for i think 3 weeks then you take it out for a week then get a new one.. it was okay as far as side effects but when i was having sex, it used to come on out my man's penis!. It was embarrasing so i stopped using that.Thinking about moving contraception advice please?
I would never ever use the shot...to me, the risks out way the benefits.

I agree that I do not want to remember to have to take a pill every day. So, I use the Ortho Evra Patch, which I only need to worry about once a week. However, it takes a while to find a place to put it where it won't wrinkle.

You should also consider the vaginal ring.

Unfortunately, implants are usually suggested for women who have already had children.
well the pill really is a B trying to keep up with it everyday.im the same way i forget at least once a week.lol.an well if i am late to take it well my bf just pulls out before.but if you really wana change id say the implant is the best.my cousin has it an she said she cant even feel it, it doesn make you gain any weight and it helps with acne and its like 100% effective.the only thing about it is that its pretty expensive.the only reason she got it is because shes in the air force so they paid it for her.about injection..well i dont know much about it but i hear it makes you gain crazy weight.but if i had the money id get the implant too cuz it lasts you anywhere from 3-5 years. depending on how long you want it for and as soon as you take it out you can have a baby if you want.
I absolutely know how you feel! I was on the pill for a year and the last few months I would forget days and I would end up taking three pills in one day just to catch up. Horrible idea!

I went to the doctor and told her that and she suggested the nuvaring. It's a little weird at first having to put something up there, but I got over it. It's AMAZING! You don't feel it, but you know it's there. You should look into it! It's not painful and it's easy!
Go to your doctor and talk to him/her, he/she can suggest some other options. But personally, I've heard about a lot of women who get the shot getting pregnant.
