I need some advice about my cycle?

I started spotting brown on 9-6. Do I count it as the first day of my period or the next day9-7 where I was bleeding red? Also I started spotting a few days after my period stopped. It stopped the day before yesterday. By my calculation if I counted my lmp 9-7 I ovulated 9-22. Anyone know what the spotting may have been? I only have one tube due to an ruptured ectopic. Not everybody ovulates on the 14th day of their cycle. I know for a fact that I got pregnant on the 17th day of mine. The spotting of dark blood is normal for the beginning of your period.I need some advice about my cycle?
A lot of times your period is dark brown at the beginning and/or end of your period. Its normal. Its just dead old blood.
