I'm at college studying IT, so I want to get a job at the PC World near me as experience.
I've been delaying it though because I'm worried I won't be good enough.
Can anyone give me some encouragement please?!What advice can you give to someone worrying about getting a job?
just go for it you will never know unless you try even if you are not good at it at first it will get better. What advice can you give to someone worrying about getting a job?
Hi friend don't worry.. http://www.freewebs.com/easy-workathome is a really a good way of making money online being at home. There is no need to pay at front.Just basic knowledge of internet is enough.Further it is much much better than online paid surveys %26amp; data entry..Just try it out there is nothing to lose since u r not going to pay..
In this case, knowledge is power. Why don't you research the skills you need at PC World? Talk to a current employee, check their website, etc.
If you know what they are looking for, and you feel that you have the skills, then you will do well and get hired. It will also be much easier for you to discuss in an interview.
Good luck!
The IT real world is very different than college IT. You need to get a job that is entry level that is dealing with customer service. You have to have the experience to even be considered for a position your degree might offer. Go to all the interviews you can. Go with the attitude that you would like the job but you can live without it. The more interviews you go on the easier it will get. You really need to get started in the field now so your chances of being hired on with a degree are better. Most of the stuff you will learn from a company is proprietary to the company. Make sure you know about basic troubleshooting. IE Microsoft office suite and Outlook are the big ones to know. Good luck and get into the field asap!
