Anybody have any advice about primary/secondary schools in Ramsgate?moving there & a bit concerned.any info?

I am moving to Ramsgate and have 2 children, aged 7 and 14 and have limited knowledge of the schools there, i.e. if most of them are good and how easy/difficult it is to get intot the better ones. I am currently in SE London so feel anywhere else in the UK is bound to be better! Any info would be greatly appreciated! up my street - as previous answerer commetned - also check the school on Ofsted reports (though bear in mind that these are biased in some manners due to the afct that teachers within last two years have only had a few days in advance, whereas a few years ago Ofsted gave a week warning. DFifferent mehtod of inspection as well now - so bear that in mind when reading - unsure on the date of the ofsted report for that school as can't access site for some reason)


Look at local council reports on school, you can ask the local police and school governers for reports on pupil intake if that is your concern - contact the school directly and explain situation - most schools will be helpful - you can judge from that as well in some manner (ie how fast do they get back to you etc etc)


Ofsted, upmystreet, police, school, perhaps other parents - are there any youth groups in the area - contacting them or a parent's group? Good luck

it could be a bit far but Dover Grammar , boys and girls schools are good.
