What is the stupidist advice someone has given you about TTC?

I can't stand when people give me advice when they have no clue what I'm going through. The worst is when they say ';Just stop thinking about it.'; impossible... So what other things have people said to you that were down right annoying or even rude?What is the stupidist advice someone has given you about TTC?

when i was 23 people would say ';your only 23 u have plenty of time'; when i was 24,25, 26 and now i'm at 27 almost 28 with no kids. when am i considered to not have plenty of time.





yeah thats why i have two sisters in their mid 30's who never had any children due to pcos. my sisters were told the same thing and now they are older and don't have plenty of time to waste.What is the stupidist advice someone has given you about TTC?
The stupid advice I have gotten, was to not even have anymore kids. ever. And get over it.
';Don't stress and don't think about it. Stress can make you not get pregnant'; what a bunch of b.s. Is stress going to stop the sperm and the egg? Nope. That bugs me when people say ';stress can make you not get pregnant.';
I also hated when people said ';relax, stop thinking about it, and it will happen.'; I hated it when relatives asked me ';When are you going to have a baby?'; I hated hearing about Brittany Spears getting pregnant AGAIN! and seeing everyone on TV get pregnant ON ACCIDENT!
that because i was on top i wasn't getting pregnant and that i need it to have an orgasm.
it will happen when it ready to happen!!!...all well and good but i want it now...lol...or my one friend, ';i dont know what ot tell you, if he just looks at me the right way i get pregnant(after 2 abortions and 1 baby)...isnt that nice!!! UHH people!

if you stop thinking about it then it will happen or it will happen when it is meant to your trying to hard I feel like saying no duhhh I am trying really hard because I want a baby this is the purpose I really hate it good luck

Relax....good grief. Name one thing on this planet that is more relaxing than sex!?! If relaxation were all it took I'd be pregnant thousands of times over.


I hate when people say stress will cause you to not get pregnant. Anyone that has been trying to conceive for over a year knows that stress can not delay your cycle for years on end!


Even worse is when people KNOW you have a diagnosed fertility issue and they still say 'relax, don't stress and it will happen'.


Some people suck.
